"After War" thoughts
Oblt. Rauch - I./JG51
thanks to all of you for these nice fights we got. You are good opponents as well as gentlemen, and improving at each encounter. Was a real pleasure to fight you, and I hope we will meet soon again in some sunny skies
Flt. sgt. Nads - RAAF 453rd.
Thank you and the JG51 for the nerves, panic, learning and fun over the war period. It has been a pleasure to fly with you guys. Always good to mix it up with live oponents who enjoy the game.
Flt. Lft. Spitty - RAAF 453rd.
.As for a few of us this being our first online war I can say we only got better because the opposition made us that way. After each encounter we learnt ways (we thought) to counter your tactics and sometimes we did.But as a chess game Jg51 always had another trick in their arsenal which left us scrabbling back to the drawing board. We lifted our game due to the fact that Jg51 lifted their game time and time again.I for one salute you guys for teaching us the madness of online fighting, having to control your nerves when you have 3 109,s on your tail(well sort of),having to watch the whole of your squad, protect them(hopefully) and get on the tail of an opponent(sometimes). And the most important thing...Thank you for having fun with us!!!!To have a bit of a laugh and a stir before each flight made the community what it is.No one spat the dummy(except for me with my internet lag..sorry guys) in fights,we all flew honourably and with dignity and we all fought fair.Looking forward to the next one.Cheers to Jg51...Now to row over the channel and pick up all my plane bits..salute..!!!
Grp. Cpt.Blue - RAAF 453rd.
...it has been a pleasure flying against you all.You are a great bunch of blokes and some damn fine pilots. You have taught us alot in the past engagements and I'm hoping to learn alot more in the future engagements.S! to all the JG51 pilots.
Oblt. Lemke - I./JG51
Thanks to all involved for a couple of months of great flying fun online. It was great to see the way tactics developed on both sides as we flew over the weeks. It was a pleasure to participate in guys. Looking forward to the next one already ....
Flt. Lft. Sydbod - RAAF 453rd.
I am already thinking back to the battle as " the good old days"..... OK must snap out of it.......
When do we fly again....I dont care what.......just let me at em.
S! to all of you at JG51 for a great time, and when the next battle is on (no matter what the aircraft) I hope to be there roasting my sausages on the burning tail of my aircraft.
Hpt.Krause - I./JG51
Was a great time guys- these wars are great for improving team and individual skills, as well as bieng a great time! S! 453, great flying, and many thanks- we will do it again very soon, i believe only the details need some sorting out, and we are ready to get back at it...
