Multiplayer :
After successfull campaigns vs U.S.352nd F.G., and RAAF 453rd, we are currently ready and looking to engage any squads in aerial combat. Wether it be a short one day battle, a series of dogfights, or a full-blown squad campaign we encourage you to contact us via our forums.
Mission Orders - 5/20/2004

Multiplayer Wars

1. I./JG51's primary mission is to participate in online multiplayer wars and campaigns flying as an Axis squadron vs Allied squadrons. These wars are arranged ahead of time by agreements between the involved squadrons.
2. Official kills are ones that are scored during an organized multiplayer war, campaign or event. Such kills must be recognized and posted by the squadron before they can be counted on the Roster page.
3. Most medals can only be awarded for actions taken during an official multiplayer session. See the Rank/Medals page for more information.
4. Communications - All members of JG51 are expected to have the most current edition of Teamtalk installed on their computer. Communication between all pilots must be established before conducting a mission. Hot key activation only.
5. After Action Reports - will be posted by the CO on the squadron forum after a session is finished and after mutual aprovment by the "enemy" CO.

Squadron Cooperative Missions vs AI

1. Missions vs AI can be also be run. The scores of these missions are not indicated on the roster page, but are recorded on a seperate page. No medals are awarded for missions vs AI. See the Rank/Medals page for more information. All missions are co-operative JG51 operations. Any two, or more, members of JG51 can get together online and decide to run an "official" mission. This decision must be made before getting into the game itself and all players agree that the session is official.
2. If one of the players has technical difficulty during a session, the mission can be aborted at the agreement of all involved and restarted. This should, however, be avoided if at all possible and only used when the problem is severe.
3. Any of the types and dates of missions that are available on Multiplayer EAW can be played.
4. These are single death only missions! Respawned pilots cannot participate in combat again in the same mission. They can hang about and watch the action, but cannot make any further kills and must remain at a distance so as to not interfere with the continuing engagment.
5. Kills are nulified on a 1 to 1 basis by a pilots death. Example - you fly a mission and get three kills, but die attacking your last target, a B-17 as it is going down you end up with credit for two kills. You can choose to eliminate your least valuable kill, unless that kill was involved somehow in your death. In the example above you would have to settle for the first two kills, no matter what types of planes they were.
6. Mission failure means the loss of ALL KILLS made during the session even if you survive!! It is critical to make sure your mission is successful.
7. Each pilot is responsible of keeping track of all of their kills, including types, as they will eventually be posted.
8. Difficulty Settings - JG51 uses full difficulty settings during missions as shown below.
Future Operations

The following are ideas that are in the planning stage. They are based on what EAW is presently able to do and on what it appears that the advanced patches will make it possible to do.

I./JG51 Historic Campaign :

This series of connected mission sessions will walk us through the battle history of I./JG51 as it took place during WWII. In order to accomplish this we need to find out how to install and use more advanced EAW patches than 1.2, which allow the use of more types of aircraft than are possible for us at the present time. An interactive background strategic game is being designed, the course of which will be impacted by the combined results of the missions we will fly. This means you can possibly alter the course of the war and branching alternatives to history can be achieved. One pilot, or even 10, could not have altered the course of the war, but if we consider the actions of a few to represent the actions of many then significant impacts on history are feasible. Using this system, we can help Germany win the war!! (Good thing this is just the virtual world, ehh?!)

WWII European Theatre Campaign 1939-1945 :

This will be a very ambitious project. It will be similar to the above campaign including the strategic game, but instead of following I./JG51's history, we will become a Axis air unit that somehow manages to be in every major air operation of the entire war in Europe, from Finland to Afrika (we may even start this in Spain). Each session will represent a months time of the war. The campaign will be chronological and we will move from one active theatre to the next as it happened in history, or as would happened in an altered history.

Individual Campaigns :

Separate battles, such as the Battle of Britain, Battle of France, the Desert War, etc. will be broken down into individual campaigns and flown for the duration of the battle in question, with a combined score at the end for each player.

Intrasquad Competition :

We are planning on having multiplayer combat sessions where the squadron will split and one side will fly the Axis side of a mission and the other will fly the Allied side. We will also have competition in at least the following catagories: Air Races, Team Combat Competition and Individual Combat Competition. Any thoughts for additions to this catagory are encouraged.

Special and Foreign Wars :

The squad will engage in sessions that will utilize the many different campaign patches that are available in the EAW community. We will fly in different theatres, including the Pacific, North Africa and Russia. We are going to have fun with the what-if situations presented in Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe.

Suggestions :

We encourage any suggestions you may have for squadron activities. Please feel free to submit your thoughts on the forum or in personal letter.
